Trip 2025

The Lorne Garden Club trip for 2025 was from Monday 10th November to Thursday 13th November in the Inverloch area.

Monday 10th November

We left from the Lorne Information Centre and arrived at the Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne. After eating our packed lunches we took a tour in small bus as well as walking around.

We then travelled to our accommodation at the RACV Resort Inverloch.

Tuesday 11 November

We visited three private gardens in Inverloch and enjoyed lunch at the Uniting Church Hall.

After lunch we travelled to Meeniyan to have afternoon tea in Anne’s garden. (Anne is Kevin Diviny’s sister.)

We travelled to Cape Paterson for dinner.

Wednesday 12th November

We boarded the bus and were driven to Fish Creek.

Celia Rosser Gallery

Celia Rosser, a renowned Australian botanical illustrator, who has illustrated all banksia species in Australia. TheGallery is run by her son, showing many great examples of her lifetime’s work.

Trina and Peter Jordan’s Garden

We visited Trina and Peter Jordan’s native garden in Fish Creek.

Carol Johnston and Bruce Lester Garden

We travelled by bus to meet Carol Johnston and Bruce Lester to enjoy their walled-garden and extensive views towards Wilson’s Promontory. We had a great lunch inside their beautiful home.

Gurney’s Cidery

After lunch we travelled back to Fish Creek area to have a cider tasting and tour at Gurney’s Cider.

Next was a drive back to the RACV Inverloch Resort, then into Inverloch to have dinner at the Inlet Hotel, so named as it looks out towards Anderson Inlet.

Thursday 13th November

We left RACV Inverloch Resort after breakfast and drove to Jindivick.
